Yes! If it’s not burnt, he can also cut into super clean squares (might explain the pinky) layer it with those berries and whipped cream…tons of options to save it.
No one is going to touch that Prince Half Time show for decades. I can guarantee you he reviewed MJ’s and did everything MJ couldn’t do and made it his own concert bookended by a football game. We could have had another great one if the NFL didn’t push the Red Hot Chili Peppers on Bruno Mars. I’ll probably never buy a Bruno Mars album, but I would 1000% go to a live show. Check it out on YouTube. Killer band and performer.
Weird that “nice” came up as a point of focus after our chatter about “nice guys finish last.” Ox could be into Tiff for the long game, which is sweet, but sad. If he discovers that she is into Kip, he might have some info on Kip she doesn’t know in all the locker room talk. Tiff will call him out for bing jealous. She goes to Kip’s, gets the truth, and realizes Ox wasn’t all wrong and was trying to protect her feelings, but not doing anything worse than Tiffany is doing to steal Kip from Stef. Anyway, that’s how a TV show would probably write it.
I never bought that “nice guys finish last” line. It’s totally toxic and actually fuels misogyny. The order of the day is and will always be self-confidence. You can be nice and have self-confidence. You can be nice and not be taken advantage of. Nice in itself is an awful word. Caring, respectful, sportsmanlike, considerate all are all good things and all can lack self-confidence, which is what I think Ox might have when it comes to women – and totally normal.
We’re headed to a twist with Kip. In a real world situation, kip coming out of a since-freshman-in-high-school relationship while in college doesn’t look good for Tiffany’s hormones. Kip could just be done with Stef sucking up all of his time and doesn’t want to be seen as the star quarterback/football/bro anymore and might have more creative aspirations that aren’t so macho – in short, a perfectly normal identity crisis for a college kid. Maybe this football/dating hot cheer leader stuff is all a cover up for something else from his family…I won’t say it as I have said it plenty for other characters, but the backstory he is sharing so far is pointing to it and it would be the perfect ironic twist for Tiff’s hormones and her history of dating so many football players in the past.
“Let him cook.”
