@Tiarella:Glad you are back; I will probably not post often anymore because I’m having more and more eye problems (macular degeneration and now having bad reactions to the shots in my eyes, which is the only thing keeping the disease in check). Hope to be able to read often enough to see your posts, though…
We may not have been as polarized as we are today back in 2006, but we were certainly polarized during what has been called by the northern states ‘the Civil War’, and the southern states ‘The War Between the States’ (couldn’t even agree on what to call it…)
Look, there are millions of people on this planet who are running for their lives right now from various wars, or drug gangs, and they are in much worse shape than Tiffany (who never really had her father in her life that much, but had his financial support). I don’t think the folks trying to escape from drug kingpins in Central America are thinking much about tranquilizers right now…
A former inmate from that prison was interviewed about conditions that Huffman would encounter. The prison is apparently overcrowded, so rooms that were supposed to hold 2 prisoners are now holding 4. Inmates are required to perform jobs (initial job is kitchen work, for which the inmate is awakened at 6 am), and everyone has to work on cleaning their cells. Probably not as good a situation as Tiffany might encounter.
