Not to brag, but….I bought a complete sewing machine (still in its box), from Salvation Army for $25.00… At home later, I checked on line, and that model number sells for over $250.00 in the store.

So for all we know, her mom might be such a shopper too…

So, stop that(!) already, as my mother would say.

    Look up:

Xeriscaping is the practice of landscaping with minimal use of water. Homes and businesses in desert climates, such as Las Vegas, use rocks and native vegetation such as cacti in xeriscaping projects.

Thank you for going into detail about that symbol, since I thought right away about the book series: “A Series of Unfortunate Events” by Lemony Snicket… those who read it know what I mean…so I will not spoil it.

Chocolate is good food for everyone and everything….and I do not want to hear from naysayers about how it is not good …

Speaking of voting: I have never missed an election since reaching age of voting. I’ve also been married for over half a century. In all that time my vote has been secret. Although I suspect my husband and kids know seeing as I’ve worked for many candidades, local, state or federal. I’m passionate about local politics, in particular, because this is where one can see how one’s taxes go to work.

Speaking of McD’s: in the days gone by, the workers used to slice and dice all the vegetables in the morning. My friend’s daughter used to work there during high school, and she had that as her first job in McD’s.

Years later, before the closed garbage bins, my mother’s husband started a new hobby after he retired. He drove around the town dumpster diving and after a while he started to bring home bags and bags of discarded vegetables: lettuce, onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. … He said that they were from McD’s. Those bags of vegetables were good for the compost.
