   Thank you all very much. I sent a couple of messages to other people I know in the chicago area. I’ll check the tribune online store, too.

   I loved drawing this week’s strips. I’m a big fan of a lot of old strips. Apparently, many didn’t enjoy my run, and that’s fair. My Al Capp/Wally Wood/MAD Magazine influence probably took it too close to Fosdick for those who didn’t, but I must say I’m a little shocked so many fans of a strip that has its foundation in grotesqueries take such issue with my chin. Oh, well. That’s the way the ball breaks in the funnies art ballgame.

   Hey, everybody. Someone tipped me to the fact they were rerunning my guest stint. So, I was wondering if anyone new if they were also running in the actual papers. I asked a buddy in the chicago area to save them for me the last time, but he’s a bit of a flake and didn’t come through. So, I was hoping to get them in print.

   I graduated in the 80’s and by that point we couldn’t bring pocket knives. This was in a small town in Texas, too. So, no small ask.
