I’m reading this a day late and I haven’t commented (or read the comments) in months, but I expected some jokes about the lemon-cutting onomatopoeia “SNIK” and there are none! What the hell has happened to you people? How can you ignore such low-hanging fruit? (pun semi-intended).

Pero “disturbio” no esta mal escrito. En “Peanuts”, Patty escribe “disterbense” en lugar de “disturbance”.

Hahaha! Hilarious. Because there’s one transgender kid and even though his being trans hasn’t been mentioned in four months, hahaha, let’s keep bringing it up and pretending it’s really hard to keep track of.

Try to focus. I never said Toby is a boy. I said since Tabitha changed her name to Tobias, starting dressing like a boy, and got a boy’s haircut, EVERYONE who didn’t know her as “Tabitha” (i.e., virtually everyone in Milford except the Thorps), would start using male pronouns. This includes the announcer saying, “Tobias Gordon is making HIS debut”, which (try to keep up here) is what the comment to which we’re all replying was asking about. The announcer sees a kid with a boy’s name who looks like a boy on the boy’s basketball team, so he says “HIS” debut. Not “THEIR” debut. Not “HER” debut. I never said Toby is now genetically a boy. But please do continue with your idiotic straw man argument about how everyone in the universe but you is wrong.

Looks like Uncle Fester to me.

If some kid you never met before has a boy’s name and boy’s clothes and a boy’s haircut, everyone around them is going to use male pronouns to describe them regardless of what their secret hidden body parts are. “He” is the old-school default pronoun for someone you think is a boy. Not only does Toby think he’s a boy, SO DOES EVERYONE ELSE.

It was actually a jump ball after a tie up, back before the possession arrow became universal.

I coached 6th grade girls many years ago. Very short games with a running clock. Our high score was 20 points, but one memorable game we shut the other team out, 4-0. With us up 2-0 and time winding down, one of my kids somehow got confused and fast-breaked (fast broke?) to the wrong basket after a change of possession. Fortunately she missed the layup, but we got the rebound, and my calls for a timeout were drowned out by the crowd of screaming parents who my kids mistakenly thought were cheering them on. Good times.

I like how this whole unrelated conversation has spun off under this comment.

I was thinking the same. But reverse.
