   All right, SOMEBODY has to say it… this is a great comic! Nothing like a bit of existential angst to get the funny bone going.

   There’s a bit too much naivete around this strip. First, it’s rude to say “fat people” – a much more polite term is overweight. (I’m not particularly PC, but this is a public comic after all.) Second, an overweight person doesn’t go to a foot care clinic to get their toenails clipped; spouses/kids/friends can do that for him in five minutes for free. If he was going to the clinic to address foot issues caused by having to carry so much weight, I’d believe that.

   Nice to see the Edmonton roots popping out. When I went to U of A the Bub Slug comic (covering the entire back page of the comics insert) was my weekly highlight.
