If I remember correctly, this arc portends the disclosure of our favorite Bassalope!

Very true. My wife is from eastern Europe, and at first, I couldn’t put up ANY decorations until Christmas eve, and we kept them up till February 2.

Okay here’s the pitch… We saw a “present” where Calvin is reunited with Hobbes… What about a “present” where Calvin visits a reformed Moe and helps him with his “Mission House” for abused children? I believe Berkeley Breathed put the reunion piece together. Or perhaps the hospital janitor in some of the “present” Bloom County panels could turn out to be Moe? Just dreaming I guess…

Okay… here goes. They are not the same. Having Christmas decorations up AFTER Christmas may be a wish to keep the Holiday spirit in your heart for as long as possible. Putting up Halloween or any other holiday decorations up early, may be a wish for change, a looking ahead to new spirits or adventures. Many stories have been written about having something “written in our hearts” rather than having them only on paper.

So, a Queen is not only unfaithful to her mate, but unfaithful with other king from another game. (the bishop would have his mitre on designated by a sphere on top. This is a King in old traditional chess.)

And for the first time in US history, the Presidency and Vice-Presidency were held by persons the country did not elect to those offices. Ford was appointed VP by Nixon when Agnew left and affirmed by the congress. Then Ford becomes President, when Nixon resigns. Ford then selects Rockefeller as VP and is confirmed by the congress. And that’s the rest of the story.

I’m sorry, but there was a comic in the early 70’s call “Filthy Richie.” He had a distinctive hair style with “horns.” Now look at the dark figure between the trees behind Calvin. This could get “dark” real quick.
