Actual date of Daily Cartoonist post, 17.01.2025. Truly sad news. I was wondering why Darrin’s substack had gone silent.

    Please elaborate.

Haven’t seen anything on his substack.

RH and DS – points taken, but don’t forget, Trump has been claiming credit for everything good since the election – and before that – all the while, blaming us for everything that was bad, &ç.

IDRA has the numbers watch right.

But I do wish he’d back off on the “hate watch.”

Trump et al already provided more than enough of that four years ago and has promised even more – on steroids – for the next four.

Two, the way you treat people who aren’t that far from your beliefs, I kinda don’t want to see how you treat an enemy.

One, we all know Scott was against Trump.

What BD was saying is that what Scott (or Eric, or whoever is running this strip) was doing was as just as effective at electing Trump than anything the Republicans ever did. Indeed, I saw nothing in Trump’s campaign to attract a thinking person, but I saw a lot of Doubt the Democrats, Doubt the Democrats, Doubt the Democrats, ad nauseam.

And this strip was one of the worst, with its constant „both sides equal bad“ approach as Scott chased the Oliver Windmill.

Just reflecting on Trump’s own words, that (2024) might be the last time we have to vote.

And if the howard-hickman s post was about Scott (Eric’s) cartoon, considering all that Scott and Eric did to get Trump elected (even if that was NOT their intent) (it is known they were for Chase Oliver), nevertheless, the cartoon as posted above is probably quite a bit of buyer’s remorse.

Ah yes, patriots. Harkens back to Mad 1969 issue 129, “The Mad Primer of Bigots Extremists and other Loose Ends”

    See the Super Patriot.

Hear him preach how he loves his country.

Hear him preach how he hates “Liberals”And “Moderates”

    …and “Intellectuals”And “Activists”

    …and “Pacifists”And “Minority Groups”

    … and “Aliens”And "Unions"… and “Teenagers”And the “Very Rich”

    … and the “Very Poor”

    And "People With Foreign-Sounding Names

Now you know what a Super Patriot is.

He’s someone who loves his country While hating 93% of the people who live in it.

Just because he humps the flag onstage doesn’t mean it isn’t an act for the rubes.

I think BD was referring to Sun s original post. But you probably already know that.

Unfortunately, it’s often hard to see nuance in these posts.

As pointed out elsewhere, Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg, &ç, are loyal only to their pocketbooks and will go wherever they think they’ll get the most money.

Zuckerberg wanting to duplicate Musk’s “success” with Twitter – get rid of (what little) fact checking there was – what could go wrong with that? (Who was it that said, “You didn’t tell me there would be fact checking” – in a debate?)

Remember, Bezos cancelled WaPo from endorsing Kamala. And who knows what the others did out-of-sight.

Don’t know why folks keep piling on Soros.

    Is it anti-Semitism?

Or that he still has a conscience?
