   Many countries don’t do birthright citizenship.

   Thailand requires both parents to be legal residents of Thailand for at least 5 years for their children to receive Thai citizenship.

   Alternately, any child of a Thai citizen also receives Thai citizenship, regardless of place of birth.

   So in the comic, if the US did not have birthright citizenship and used Thai laws,, neither the parents’ birth certificates nor the hat wearer’s is proof of citizenship as they could be children of non-citizens, who merely happened to be born in the US.

   Transvestite – people who wear the “other” clothes. Colloquially a “cross-dresser” (cross gender). Although Al’s, I mean, El’s clothes have been worn by women working outdoors in the American west since jeans & flannel shirts were available.

   Or he could fill a glass bowl with oil, suspend it overhead and put a couple of wicks in it to make an over-head light source like the wealthy romans did. Put something reflective above it, like polished marble or metal, to increase the illumination.

   Operating time and amount of illumination will depend on the clarity of the glass, size of the bowl, number of wicks, and the quality of both the wicks and the oil.

   A vaccine works by training your immune system to go on the offensive when the microbes are in your body to prevent it from becoming widespread and causing illness.

   An infection is when microbes are in your body.

   The immune system can not respond until you are infected.

   Ergo a vaccine does not prevent infection. Never has, never did.

   Vaccines prevents the illness. (Aka symptoms. Like death, paralyzation, blindness, deafness for measles, mumps, rubella, polio)

   Thr vast majority of diseases are not infectious without the illness (i.e. fever) so thr vast majority of vaccines prevent infection.

   COVID19 is very atypical in that it is infectious before the illness (asymptomatic) so the vaccine does not prevent infection.

   This would apply to any other vaccine.

    I want you to find a median-wage job that will pay you via capital gains rather than income.

    $50k of capital gains is $3,800 in federal tax. $50k salary is $6,800 in federal tax

    Wowsers, that capital gains person has a take-home-pay almost 7% higher!

    Unfortunately, capital gains are only issued for upper tax brackets.
