   It’s a gym now. :-( I believe before it was connected w/the Drexel, it was called the Beechwold. I grew up in the area and saw countless movies there – it was just one of the nabes. When I was about 4 I saw Snow White and ran screaming up the aisle terrified when the witch appeared. During junior high school our parents would drop us off and we’d spend the afternoon there – whatever was playing. That was more about hanging out and making out. Back in those days you just paid the admission (.50) and stayed as long as you wanted. When I was 17 I saw A Hard Days Night – we had to sit thru 3 or 4 showings just so we could hear it over the other girls screams. Kept seeing stuff there until the end.
