My brother worked at Howard Johnson’s (anyone remember that place?) and would use the cola from the dispensers to clean the floor. It would eat through even the grimiest of grime.
While working at a wildlife refuge, I used Coke to clean the ‘animal’ kitchen floor of dead mouse parts and all the other quite disgusting stuff that would inevitably land there.
Thank you for your informative comment. I have been so depressed since hearing the heartbreaking news of Mr. Thompson’s and wish him as many good days as is possible. I am looking forward to re-entering the wonderful world of Alice & her cohorts just as I’ve basked in the replays of Calvin & Hobbes and Bloom County.
I recently watched a PBS show following up on some of the Vick dogs. During the segment I learned that one of the under performing dogs was swung repeatedly against a wall until it died. The blood stains were still visible.
Another was in such bad shape that helping it cross The Bridge was a kindness.
There will never be a proper time frame for either Vick getting ( or even being near) a dog or for his actions being untimely.
Animal cruelty will always be a topic for the times…ALWAYS!
Thank you Mark for your awareness and sensitivity, not to mention your wicked funny sense of the absurd.
so not funny
