Oh hey, Richard’s back! And more violent and obnoxious than ever!

Not gonna lie: Ben Garrison’s become boring, Sinfest is incoherent, Dilbert’s rightfully canned and Bruce Tinsley’s “retired,” so I actually wouldn’t mind a regular strip about this Richard loser angrily grinding his sphincter over things that do not affect him in any way whatsoever.

When Adams introduced Dave the Black Engineer to his strip, he tweeted that “if this doesn’t get me canceled, nothing will” because Dave “identifies as white.” Scott didn’t get “canceled” over Dave—or any of his other strips screeching and mewling about “woke” (which kind of countered his screechings and mewlings)—so I guess he had to keep digging.

Holmes: “I have no copyright protection! Lord help me! This god-awful Will Ferrell movie shall be my doom! …However, this Miyazaki-directed anime is not bad at all, despite turning me into a canine. And being portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch certainly takes the edge off (sniffffff)”

It’s weird that I only remember it from a Monty Python sketch (“Precision Display of Bad Temper”). “I am vexed and ratty, two, three!”

In fact, you shouldn’t even stand there, Phoebe. If Marigold were to thrash her head back, you could be in a world of hurt. Or maybe an end to all pain.

$#@%&! Every time I read panel two my mind keeps focusing on the proximity of “used” to “toilet paper” in a very negative fashion.

My local free paper (I grab one on the way to work for the puzzles and to laugh at the Abe Simpsons yelling at clouds in the letters) runs Dilbert. They used to run Mallard Fillmore and other long-forgotten rightcrank strips to “balance” Doonesbury; once each of them fell by the wayside, the paper ultimately just dumped Doonesbury. Now Scott Adams’ Qanon-grade nonsense runs next to has-been rut-stuck strips like Over the Hedge.
