i used to bring “ant pie” to potluck dinners – graham crackers and pudding layers, sprinkles on top were “ants” – name came from my then preschool daughter’s comment: “oooh! those look like ants!”
while talking to hubby on phone i offered to take a picture of saw blade he needed replaced. he said it would take too long for me to go get my camera. uh, honey ?
when my son was small, he would ask for “mac and cheese and ham but no green balls” – i added shredded ham and peas to mac and cheese, unless he complained, then peas on the side, which he would eat without issue, funny kid
never knew – we used to celebrate Kid’s Day the day before Mother’s Day – without them i would not be a mother – we typically went on a picnic, long walk, games at home, their favorite dinner – my way of saying thank you, i love you – now, adults, we still talk about and laugh about Kid’s Day
