This is one of those moments that really blurs the reality of the strip. If all of this is in Calvin’s imagination, how did he get his winter clothes back on, get back downstairs and outside without his mom seeing him?
Since when does Calvin ever want to play with his dad? Feels very out of character.
To this day, we still don’t know for sure – if Hobbes is just a toy, how the heck did Calvin get tied up?!?
