   Others have definitely heard him playing beautifully… of course, that’s mostly been Snoopy and (later) a very-much-in-love Lucy, so that doesn’t prove much since the one would join in the imagining and the other isn’t paying attention to what he’s actually playing.

   But I believe he’s playing beautifully until he realizes Patty comes in, and then just plinks because he knows she wouldn’t appreciate Beethoven, and then returns when she leaves.

   I had a cat who could definitely open doors (the knob type, even, but fortunately could only push them open so him opening the outside doors (which opened in, and therefore needed to be pulled) wasn’t too much of a worry.

   In related news, he was also weirdly able to pull open cupboard doors but not push them back open once he got himself trapped inside.

   Also, as for the original question as to “why”… well, because opening the doors would be the thing at the moment that would cause the most chaos, and therefore that’s obviously what OZ is most drawn towards doing.

    I live by myself and I buy TP by the case. Just toss it into storage and grab a few to put under the bathroom sink every so often. Only have to buy it every couple of years…
