Agree. What kind of insecure, petty, immature world does a person have to live in to see complimenting a football player on a win as a ploy to steal him, or even as casual flirtation? Stef and Duck need to get a grip and figure out what confident women look like in 2024.
True! But the problem with stereotypes is that they are often … not true. I challenge anyone who wonders to check out the meals served at their local public school cafeteria, where I’ll wager the meals are attractively presented, lovingly served, delicious and nutritious.
My theory is young adults aren’t quite ready to let go of their childhoods, and this is a fun, harmless and safe way to indulge their nostalgia. What we see is like handing your checkbook (okay, debit card … okay, Amazon Plus membership …) over to your kids and telling them to go wild for Halloween. And for the record: This old Boomer is fine with it. It’s not hurting anyone, so just let them have fun.
School lunches in my district are delicious as well as nutritious. Attractively served by a pleasant, professional staff who take great pride in their work. You know it’s true when your son-in-law who works at the high school asks for cash to be loaded onto his lunch money account as a Christmas gift each year!
