We weren’t allowed shorts, even under required dresses. When my mom heard about the stuff we were doing on the monkey bars she made us bloomers, a throwback from the Victorian era. My sister refused to wear them and remained ‘cool’ while I did and was more or less permanently labeled a dork.
Females joined the workforce in the forties out of necessity because so many men were off fighting WW2 [and many joined the fight]. When the men returned they were fired en masse. You can’t blame this for creating the necessity of two income families.
Yes I left out some of the mixture. The Peruvians told me that the two active ingredients together was more powerful than they would be separately. They also use powdered tobacco mix without coca leaves that they shoot into each other’s nostrils. I can tell you that it’s quite ‘active’.
Not quite exclusively. Peruvians in the past and currently use ground up tobacco in a practical application when hiking (often carrying heavy loads) up steep mountains at high altitudes. They mix it with toasted ground coca leaf and slip it underneath their cheek over the gum. Effective.
