    May they rest in peace. But the sentiment stands: we need to support our vets as much as we can; asking questions and not taking no for an answer being chief among them. As you may know, I’m a retired nurse, and know only too well that healthcare professionals are human and make mistakes. The thing is, do we learn from our mistakes, and can we listen to others? When it comes to our pets, we are sometimes the only line of defence between them and misdiagnosis. I’m not saying this cat was misdiagnosed. These things do, rarely, occur.

    That is so sad. I want to say “Get a new vet” but I know it is difficult to diagnose, and we’re only human. I certainly would keep a close eye on him/her, though, to see what further decision he/she makes…
