   Sugar was rationed in the US during WWII as well. Don’t remember the amount as I was only about 4.

   Back when we moved frequently, we had the rule “if you haven’t used it in 6 months, it doesn’t go”. That were seasonable like canning supplies and Christmas decorations didn’t fall under this rule, as were a large library. We haven’t moved in 17 years, so there is lots of stuff that shouldn’t be here.

   Never tell your boss you are looking for another job unless you stand a good chance of being offered better benefits, salary etc. You are also taking the risk of being replaced before you were ready to go.
