“I think the “stupid American voters” Professor Gruber and Obama lied to were the Democrats in the House and Senate that passed the 2500 page monstrosity without a clue as to what was in it. "-Very possibly. As noted in the below link, it is not Republicans that Gruber is disparaging:-“Let’s not forget that when Gruber calls voters stupid, it can’t be applied to those who opposed ObamaCare on the very same grounds as he states in these videos. Critics had made these arguments all along about the deceptive structure of the bill, and the lies being told to cover it up. Gruber’s talking about the Obama coalition in these remarks.”-http://hotair.com/archives/2014/11/12/gruber-video-2-no-really-american-voters-are-stupid/-I do recall Republicans being attacked by the media for having the temerity to doubt the rosy projections being offered about the bill, most of which have not come to pass.-http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2014/03/14/video-top-three-obamacare-promises-rip/

“I hope the statement in panel 2, “They just agreed to cut theirs”, is a misunderstanding of what was agreed to and not an intentional misstatement.”-Yeah, that struck me too. In either case it would be nice of the cartoonist was able to offer a correction.

I expect that it is. And I hope that they will hold the agency accountable for allowing veterans to suffer and die in order to make its records and reports look better.

“Record levels of antarctic ice. Maybe the bears should move South.”-Yes, the cartoon’s premise is false – which is somewhat amusing given that the cartoon is a crude attack against the supposed ignorance of a group of people who do not share the cartoonist’s views.

It is amazing to see how comfortable some on the left are with the idea of lying to the public and treating them as though they are idiots for the purpose of promoting their legislative priorities. In addition, as noted in the below link, it is not Republicans that Gruber is disparaging:-“Let’s not forget that when Gruber calls voters stupid, it can’t be applied to those who opposed ObamaCare on the very same grounds as he states in these videos. Republicans do not believe that action by government agencies to make America strong and healthy; at best, good and limited government will help protect the health and strength that already exists, and at worst, intrusive and bloated government will sap those qualities.

Thanks for the reminder of some of the falsehoods used to promote the ACA. I am troubled by the acceptance by many on the left of the need to lie to the public to pass laws – they reveal a contempt for Americans and for our democratic system.-I would additionally note that a lot of the “success” of Obamacare consists of expanding Medicaid, which certainly was not what was advertised and which is certain to add to our already unsustainable budget deficit in year to come:-http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2555112

“Good deal, Mr. President. Any chance they’ll renege after we take the hit and give them the competitive advantage? Maybe you can think up an end-run executive order strategy to bypass Senate ratification of this treaty. After all, that’s what you do best!”-A very good question, given that China has reneged on at least one previous treaty regarding carbon emissions.

Famines, suffering, and deaths have occurred because countries ruled by the ideology Stephanie promotes did not prioritize what its victims urgently needed.

“Care to elaborate? Because I don’t see it.”-The revolution Stephanie advocates invariably features an unending class war to distract from the failures of the system it imposes. On a personal level she has dedicated the rest of her life to a war that exists mainly in her ideological worldview and which therefore will never end, unless she is able to someday let it go.
