Tower Records is/was a fabulous music store (the last one in the US closed in 2006, I think?). I still miss it! And yeah, the average employee was often tattooed and pierced and generally very cool. :)
Off topic update: he crossed the rainbow bridge this morning, our old man black cat, and he took our hearts with him. His name was Tseng (named after a Final Fantasy character). His little kitten butt walked in our front door, unexpected, sixteen years ago tomorrow. Please kiss all your kitties for me.
Off-topic: Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement last Friday. It means so much! My wife and I are still coping with the news, though the cat himself doesn’t seem too ill, outwardly, yet. We’ve asked all kinds of questions about treatments and options, and right now we’re just in a “wait and see” pattern, as most of the more specific diagnostic options have too high of a chance of making him sicker, faster. He’s getting soooooo many snuggles, believe me.
Off-topic: Anyone have any kitty hugs to spare? I just found out that my 16-year-old black cat has cancer, and I’m totally out of my depth, sad, and scared. :(
“I too am not a bit tamed, I too am untranslatable, I sound my barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world.” (Whitman) Oh Richard, you are so very missed.
