   My girlfriend’s answer to medical persons asking “Do you smoke?” is “Only when I’m on fire.” I think she should add “Yes, I did some ribs last weekend.”

   On the other hand, I have quit. I did for a long time, and I’m one of those addict types who just have one cigarette and the nicotine sinks its hooks in. It’s not a matter of “letting myself get addicted to it”.

   I’m quite fine living with nature. I’ll enjoy the animals and insects in their natural habitat from the comforts of my natural habitat – watching their antics through the windows from inside my home.

   I’ve had my share of outdoor dining during 8 years in the INARNG and a few camping trips with friends. I’d also rather eat indoors now.

   That I do not know, but while attempting to find out, I learned that Douglas Adams emulated Carroll’s style for Vogon poetry, said to be the third worst poetry in the universe and used to torture captives (which should probably be deemed a humanitarian crime). Carroll’s poetry is fun. The Vogons… ugh.
