It’s nice to see someone else who respects the Christmas season. There is no reason for stores to be putting up the decorations in October or radio stations playing the music before Thanksgiving.
All of this oversaturation ruins what should be a special time of year. By the time Christmas arrives, everyone is so sick of the constant hype that they wish the holidays were over. This is sad. What’s even sadder is what is being celebrated isn’t the holiday; it’s all about greed, commercialism and materialism.

Leave the clocks set on Standard Time. You are free to get up one hour earlier if you prefer “more evening.” That’s basically what people have been forced into doing during Daylight Stupid Time months.

Standard Time is the true measure of time, with noon recorded when the sun appears highest in the sky, as you stated. With Daylight Stupid Time people are merely resetting their clocks so they are getting up one hour earlier. The government has done a great brainwashing job with this nonsense, getting the gullible general public to believe they possess magic clocks which can make the days “longer” by tampering with them every springtime.The “longer days” are a naturally-occurring phenomenon based on the degree of tilt of the earth on its axis. Resetting the clocks does not move the sun.Leave the time set on Standard Time. Those who wish to continue pursuing that mythical “longer day” are free to get up one hour earlier during the spring and summer months.
