I generally don’t comment on comic strips but I can’t help but wonder what Luann gets from her friendship with Bernice other than hassle and heartache. All Bernice does is cut on her.
Who said anything about dancing or drums? In my scenario everyone stands still while watching the fire while contemplating the life choices that brought them to this pass.
I read Bloom County in the paper (remember those?) for many years and had all of the books. Lola Granola stays pretty passive aggressive throughout. Bobbi, Brinkley’s teacher was great though. She didn’t take any of Steve Dallas’ crap.
Interesting that no one commented that Les also cares about Tiffany. It’s been made clear that Les’ character traits are self-protective, not actually malicious.
I met my wife when we were 17, at a New Year’s Eve party, 1990. I fell in love with her on the spot. Alas, I lived 1300 miles away. We married 12 years (and one husband) later. She even traveled to the New Zealand to collect me and I couldn’t be happier.
