    Nobody’s. When the original bridge was built it was nearly impossible to measure the relative movement between the sides of the gorge, or even to see only a few fractions of an inch a year.

    Non-political comment:There are such things as single-suspension bridges, where one end is anchored and the other end is free to move. There’s one in Alaska across a fault. (I’ve been across it.) One side of the fault moves sideways a couple of inches a year, which caused the original double-suspension bridge to tear itself apart. So they built a bridge anchored on just one side. It worked.

    It was put out by Intel, but it was written by Microsoft for Intel. The system I babysat was also an Intel 310. Boy was it fussy, and prone to failure, especially the tape drives controller.

    It was also specifically designed as a multiuser OS with almost unlimited numbers of users if the authentication server had the resources.

    Back in the day I was a system admin for a system that ran a Microsoft clone called Xenix. It wasn’t fun.
