There are reasons, depending on the device you choose to lug around for convenience. The Kindle is a pathetic excuse for a “tablet”, but one cool thing it lets you do, which your reading apps won’t, is that you can search your entire content for characters, places, whatever. In the reading apps you can only search the. file (title) you are actually in at the moment. If you read a lot of books, especially repeating authors, that can be useful.
You generally don’t get there in the first place if you’re the sort of person who thinks that way…paraphrasing Einstein: ‘Capitalism breeds predators’…He wasn’t just smart at the molecular level.
