   Know what you’re saying, my first kiss was at 18 too. And I don’t even like counting that kiss. My first kiss with someone I really liked and was actually interested in kissing wasn’t until 20.

   Yes. And aside from kidnapping, this town was being inhospitable to strangers, the reason Gomorrah was wiped out. But I was referring to the laws of the United States, not the old testament Bible. If we followed the punishments required in the old testament, we’d be having daily executions.

   A final bow, Sir. I have been contemplating stopping commenting here. And you helped me reach the conclusion that this isn’t healthy for me. And that revelation led to other decisions. I did research this afternoon on volunteering for political campaigns or an LGBT support organization. No more whining. I’m going to see what I can actually do.

   I didn’t need to. I know what a “state of exception” is. And how it can be utilized by a dictatorship (which is not the case here with Trump being indicted for his various crimes.) It came up as a topic many times during covid restrictions by the government.

   You are correct. I do want an answer. And I get plenty of them. But, I want an honest answer. Those are seriously rare. My quest has similarities to Diogenes…and some big differences from Diogenes of course. To start, I’m not about to live in a large wine cask or m@sturb@te in public as he was reputed to do.

   Regardless, despite being a whiner, I also give credit to cleverness when it is due. I missed yesterday your “Have a nice day in church….” closing to your comment where you merged the 2 insincere platitudes used by people here. Well played.

   Cults tend to practice idolatry of a leader. Republicans are doing that conspicuously with Trump. One of the reasons Democrats have difficulty against Republicans is their divided nature and inability to act in lockstep according to the decrees of a single authority…which Republicans do easily.
