Actually, not quite true. First of all, the U.S. entered the war after Germany resumed unrestricted submarine war, tried to bring Mexico into the war, and finally the tsar utterly collapsed the Russian war effort. All in 1917. President Wilson (not a fan of his, but to be fair) then asked congress to declare war. Neither side had any interest in peace talks. The Germans “transported” Lenin to Russia to take them out of the war before the U.S. could land enough troops on the western front. By the way, it was the Versailles Treaty, Article 231, that really led to WWII. Again, not a fan, but Wilson was totally against that part. So, not quite sure what your point is, but not true. Personally, not sure being isolationist is right or wrong.
Not completely true. The market has historically done better when the presidency and congress have been in the hands of the opposing parties. Not sure of the exact reasoning, just that it works that way.
“Imagine” While your sentiment is laudable, your facts are skewed. Originally, a 2 state system was set in place by the UN. 1 day after the state of Israel was created, 5 Arab nations and the Palestinians attacked. They did so again in 1967 and 1973. They lost. Each time Israel took land from which they were attacked! 2023, guess what, again they were attacked by terrorists! Just not sure what you expect them to do.
I remember many years ago when my wife received a phone call from my son’s first grade teacher. She asked if we had seen the note concerning my son’s behavior. My wife said we had not seen it, and the teacher explained that she did not think so because it had been returned, signed by Mr. Dad.
