Except catgut isn’t actually made from felines. It comes from horses or sheep. One theory on the etymology of the name is that “kit” was once a word for “fiddle” in the Welsh language, and at some point the word “kit” was mistaken for a kitten instead of a fiddle.

In the early strips, Rob had a neighbour who was a woman, who would frequently visit. He has also gone on some dates, so there were women shown for those, too.

My guess is they scare the flies away, the way a hand swinging towards a fly scares it away. Since they’re dangling from the hat, they’re likely moving most of the time, swinging around, creating an effect similar to the constant waving of a hand.

I have never, in my entire life, heard anybody pronounce it as “lasania.” Either in conversation with others, or on TV. It’s always been pronounced like “la-ZAWN-ya” everywhere I’ve heard it. The only exception was when I was young, and did not know the spelling of lasagna, so when I would see it in a Garfield cartoon, I would pronounce it “la-SAG-na,” not knowing what the food even is, not making the connection between the food Garfield is eating and the lasagna I would eat.

No, nobody has time to fix all the grammar of the internet. However, I felt it necessary, considering your confusion was a direct result of incorrect grammar.

If you understood English grammar, you wouldn’t have had to ask that question, and you wouldn’t have had incorrect grammar IN your question. The name “God” is a proper noun, represented by a capital letter at the beginning, to indicate the god known as God, who is the god of the Christian faiths, and of Judaism. Also known as Yahweh, or as I Am. The gods you refer to have their own names you listed, and “god” is not a proper noun in their cases, thus should be spelled all lower-case, unless used at the beginning of a sentence. Your spelling of it with a capital “G” is incorrect, in the context it was used.

The Governor General doesn’t have any real power. They are required to pass all bills in parliament. They’re just a figurehead, nothing more. “The Governor General has never refused assent for a government bill (as opposed to reserving) and convention dictates a Governor General will always give assent to a bill which has passed both Houses of Parliament. Refusals clearly would be in competition with the principles of responsible government.”

Seeing as Windows Defender (included for free in every copy of Windows 10/11 and automatically active if no other AV is installed) is better than most or all free AV suites, and at least as good as the best free AV suites, and is better than or as good as most non-free AV suites, and takes up much fewer system resources than ANY other AV suite, and also doesn’t bombard you with ads for registry cleaners, driver updaters, PC cleanup, etc, I see less and less need for a separate AV suite with every passing day. It seems the only paid suite that is worth buying over using Windows Defender is Webroot. If I’m not paying for an AV, may as well be Defender.
