    I am writing a short story about a half-Jewish girl – a distinction only important to fascists – fleeing Nazi Germany in 1933. From my research the parallels are uncanny, the speed with which the Nazis moved, how quickly the population normalised this behaviour.

    That is my hopeful scenario. I am sure Vance will be terrible enough he can be impeached, too. Then Dems take the White House with control of both houses. Less hopeful scenarios include the military refusing to follow illegal orders.

    But the one thing I am 100% sure of is that the probability of aliens turning up is to save us is higher than the Chimp in Chief being a good president.
