   it is about time someone started making fun at these ‘educated ’ parents, who not only put their own child at risk but spread the risk around to all the other children coming in contact with their child. the large increase of whooping cough in california is one example. there is a town near denver where the no vaccination crowd has tajke over and the childhood diseases are spreading to other towns. are we to see diptheria coming back, something that has had little existence for 70 years . maybe these idiotic adults would like to concern themselves with measles, one of the really bad ones, with after effects long into adulthood. these parents ought to remember ’ a little knowledge is a dangerous thing………’

   the edict ‘no vaccination, no school’ ought to be enforced as it has been for over the last 70 years.

   and what chucklehead wrote about vegans?

   to comyics maybe they are not taught that, but they do it anyway with no regret at all, as long as they can find some way to disagree with the person they have murdered. kill a doctor in his own church, kill people going about their lawful work of helping women in trouble, or just blowing up a large building in oklahoma for the fun of seeing all those people die. as for the hate behind the cartoon, the cartoonist might find it worthwhile to get a copy of the u.s. constitution and read it carefully.

   i must be dense, but this does not make any sense to me. wha tdoes the millstone and its logo represent? or is it just a millstone, as in sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.

   the stairs are crazy. the handrail starts on one side and ends on the other.. much like the drawings of the artist, name forgotten, who draws water going up and dpown in a continuous look, or stairs that do the same thing. also note the stairs start by facing out toward the reader and quickly go the other way. and there is only one handrail. any dog would be exhausted just trying to figure it all out

   i like it when a cartoonist pictures the people in the u.s. just as they are. it really is not a flattering description of their intelligence, or lack of it.

   why is it that the ‘people’ always want the problem solved by the next news broadcast? does anyone believe that BP is not doing all it knows how to do to stop the leak? does anyone , with even a small amount of a brain, think that the federal government did not take this mess seriously from the first day? as both a cartoon published today and the daily show noted last night, this is the 8th president that promised we would lower our use of oil, but nothing has happened. it is at least as much the fault of congress, both parties, who have consistently refused to do anything.. the rise of the new ‘3rd’ party , were they to take power, would go back to business as usual. we already need the jobs, this is only one spill, etc etc .

   the country seems to be full of dumbasses, both in and out of government

   for all those people who follow those great american sports that draw millions of people, football(soccer to the great unwashed) is followed by billions of people.

   americans need to have scoring action all the time, which is why basketball is such a crappy game now with all the rules(walking, palming, grabbing and shoving, and holding on to the basket) now ignored.

    it was fashionable then when the strip was written, but i recently read a new bashing of john wayne, who in fact was not a bad guy. in person he was just what you saw on the screen, larger than life. first and foremost he was an actor, and the characters he played were all ficticious, something most people seem to forget when they watch a movie. yes he did really like the military, mainly the individual service members he would meet. vietnam was not one of our shining hours made worse by the micromanagement of the administration, never letting the military fight but putting so many restrictionjs on them that they became targets rather than anything else. most of the people who hated the duke either did not remember or were not yet born when we sent our children off to fight WW II. it was not a pretty war but it was by all odds a necessary one, and lots of the children never came home again. korea was much of the same. we were in it because we were there fighting from day one just to stay alive.the military deserves commendation for getting it all together just before we would have gotten pushed out of the country into the sea. for those of us who did not get into combat, including all that were in service at the time, we owe the young men of the u.s. a great debt. john wayne was just paying his dues.
