All children need to “separate”. Gunther’s mother is enmeshed with him and very invasive. Gunther was always tolerant of her because he loves her and knows she loves him but he’s stressed out and so this first “setting of boundaries” was blurted out instead of said politely. I hope he got her attention. She needs to back off. Way off.
