I live where Helene washed out many roads. I hear from people who have guests for the holidays that none of the apps are showing all the closed roads. And law enforcement is having a lot of trouble with truckers taking roads they aren’t supposed to be on and getting stuck on the curves. It’s a pain.
Aging sucks, though it beats the alternative. I can’t believe we used to sleep on tiny closed-cell foam pads. My husband still refuses to donate our tents even though the last camping trip 6 years ago proved we can’t manage sleeping on the ground these days.
Paper maps are good for finding detours after your GPS send you down a road that was washed out in the last disaster. They also are good if you GPS sends you on an alternate route that is cluttered with semis that aren’t supposed to be on that road. (Lots of folks passing through have those problems around us!)
Perhaps you should learn more about living with Primary Immunodeficiency. And about living with autoimmune illnesses in general. Not to mention the half million or so people in the US who are immunosuppressed because of having had a transplant.
but there are people, including children, who either cannot be vaccinated because they react to an ingredient in the vaccine or for whom vaccines don’t take. I have three friends whose immune systems are so suppressed no vaccine works for them.
No, Santa has WHITE hair, not gray. My husband worked as a mall Santa in the past and we had to bleach his hair, beard, & mustache to get them a true white. fortunately for me, when he played Kris Kringle in a local production of “Miracle on 34th Street”, they paid to have pros bleach him white again.

I have psoriasis (PsO). 1) We HATE the phrase “the heartbreak of psoriasis” and everything Tegrin did to make is seem like an inconvenience rather than the debilitating disease it is. 2) We know that if Trump had created PsO, it would not have survived as well as it has for millennia. We DO blame him for doing everything he could to take away the access to health insurance, and thus to affording our medications.
