Joe McCarthy lives forever in what passes for a heart in the Republican Party. And a lotta pretend Democrats.

    Some of you.

Which is why some of us “Lefties” chuckle at Liberal cautions as often as Conservative imperatives.

When I entered the workforce in 1955, this was the picture of the United States. And Americans jumped and down [along with the crooks running our phony party political system] and bragged about it every day.

The only difference between then and now is that China maintains the Asian tradition of not bragging about their success. Unlike Uncle Sugar BITD.

Reading the literate, smartly constructed criticisms of the dross pouring from proto-fascist minds is constructive. Might even motivate some readers to “gasp” read and deepen understanding of GOUSA crap politics.

However, I doubt this will change much of anything.

I’ve been an activist starting in the civil rights movement in the 1950’s. Rightwing dullards have developed a touch more variety. The Left has learned to broaden their appeal to more folks. But, the well-educated politicians at the root of most change, forward or backwards, still seem motivated most often by self-interest rather than real social change.

Hope I’m wrong about that conclusion.

Unless you’ve lived there for spell…active in civil rights, civil liberties. In which case, the copper usually walks over to the driver-side window and says…“Where are you going, Ed?”

Didn’t make to high school math, eh? Proportions differ from sums, bubba.

My wife’s Maverick rolled in 3 months ago. My RAM stays in the garage pretty much full-time, nowadays.

Nicest discovery BTW…she ordered the hybrid and unlike most I’ve read about, she can climb up to 45-50mph before the Infernal Combustion Engine has to kick on.
