Hitler was no more a socialist than Stalin was a fascist. and yet their methods and goals were very similar. Both were dictators that betrayed/murdered those that helped put them in power and used that commit mass murder. Stalin and his henchmen killed more people (mostly Ukrainians). While Hitler and his minions killed less but were more organized/efficient and better record keepers. That’s why when people think of genocide they first think of Hitler and not Stalin. Of course, It didn’t hurt Stalin’s rep that he was considered an ally and Hitler was an enemy during WWII.
