   Ha. My bad movie group had a good time watching “King Kong Lives” (1986), the sequel to the 1976 “King Kong” where they find “Lady Kong.” Love (and silliness) occur. It stars Linda Hamilton, just after the first Terminator. I will say that the special effects are fun, if you’re into the giant monster thing.

   Well, Josh won’t let us forget he came from an exotic pet shop (while reminding Sid he came from a box marked “free kittens”) in the January 16 strip.

   And I found out today the names of the Ziggy menagerie: Josh (parrot), Sid (cat), Fuzz (dog), Goldie (goldfish), and Wack (duck).

   I reread Dracula a year or so ago, and since I read mostly before going to bed (and often nod off in the process) I hoped I’d have Gothic nightmares. Didn’t happen.

   I guess we’re only getting Sunday strips for the classic Id now.

   Pay attention to Mickey Mouse’s ears the next time you see a classic cartoon. They float on top of his head from side to side depending on how he’s moving and turning. Once you see it you’ll wonder how you ever missed it.
