It’s a cheap line, but maybe someone put an ‘l’ where he meant an ‘h’?

Very good! This explains a lot about my own life experience with my wife. Wow. Now I recognize how devious she is. She knows my horizon is like a month out, so she gets me to agree to things that are beyond that point.

There was a time when great wealth grew from monopolies and prices were determined by the avarice of the robber baron. That is no longer true. Monopolies are rare, and the free market determines prices. Companies charge what people will pay, no more, no less. Same for cereal and for apartment rental.

I get why people would vote for “not-Biden.” Being a good and decent man says nothing about effective leadership, as evidenced by Jimmy Carter, and many people see second term Biden as nothing more than a shoe horn for Harris. But why on Earth did Haley get trounced? I guess people decided that of the two, Trump is more likely to win against Biden.
