   Regardless of who’s doing it, it’s wrong to treat other human beings this way. We have two options; we can be a country that welcomes people trying to escape horror for a chance at a better life for their families and have their gratitude turn into love for a land that helped them, or, We can be a country that when desperate people trying to save their families come to us, we humiliate and punish them. One of those options builds a strong country even stronger. One of those options makes our country more hated. We need to make more choices based on compassion and love, not hatred and fear.
