    There are chickens out there with black meat. I think it is the Silkie breed. Never had it myself (they are tiny chickens) but have seen it on cooking shows.

    It may very well be snowing, but if there is a warmer layer of air between the snowfall and the ground, it will turn to rain. We have had plenty of times where it was well below freezing but we had rain instead of snow. I much prefer the snow, as I hate getting out when there is ice.

    Grew up there. I remember going to the store a few days before a hurricane and noting that the first things to go were beer, briskets, and pop tarts.
