Hey wasn’t that a very short story in the SFFM sometime in the late ’60s?
Read it in 1979, on my way to “Air Assault” training (yes, as self loading ballast on a C-130); reread it last year.
What’s more important: Why didn’t anybody notice my missapplication of the “i before e, except after c” rule?
I believe Mr. Snake’s rhetorical skills would be better used at http://www.fark.com/politics; I’m sure he would recieve a most condign reception.
When I was real young (a nerd, but sweet tempered) I worked at “Star Lincoln-Mercury”, Glendale Ca. A little old lady (yep) from Pasadena (it’s just up the road a bit) had her ’49 Mercury serviced there. It had less than 30 thousand miles on it.
Maybe the were wisents (we have em here in Bavaria!): Same body plan, 30% smaller.
