   I recently fixed the squirrel issue. I (now) have 7 feeders; two for suet, a couple of squirrel-proof ones for sunflower seeds (and they work), a small one with mixed small seed and a large gazebo style with 75/25 mix of sunflower seeds and peanut halves that the squirrels used to empty in no time. The 7th one I just put up is one of the wire wreath-style ones intended for peanuts in the shell. The squirrels love it. They have not touched the gazebo feeder since I put the peanut feeder up, and a bonus is that non-food grade peanuts in the shell are cheap.

   I don’t think she’s thinking they’re lucky. I think it’s more that she’s thankful that they are far enough away that the refs could not hear whatever he said about them.

   I disagree… in the last panel she says “that part”, meaning the part of the exercise of thinking of herself (2nd panel), “doesn’t come easy to me.” I think that’s the opposite of your conclusion.
