In the story of the Good Samaritan, the point is enhanced when you know that the road to Jericho that the victim was on was well-known for ambushes by thieves who would beat their victims unmercifully. So, the story is even better because the victim should have had the common sense to take another route. But still, the Samaritan gave him aid and cared for him.
And AI is making the bots even worse. The very large company my son works for asked his team to test out an AI run program for their data base work. They entered the same question 3 times, and got 3 totally different answers. In the database world that is not good.
I remember visiting my dad’s relatives in Detroit as a kid. The ladies were taking Grandma shopping and my aunt said that she only had a little while because she had to get home to see her soap opera. I think my grandma thought that a little unnecessary, and she was a really sweet lady. Technology would have allowed my aunt to record her show. The thing about all of our isolating gadgets is that it confuses people as to what is more important—convenience, family, job, or entertainment.
My husband’s complaint used to be "if I can’t spell it, how can I find it in the dictionary?! Of course that was before Siri, or whatever. I still like the paper version myself.
