Well I havenā€™t burned wood for roughly 20 years. Now it is a pellet stove when I want that kind of heat, and I push the START button and 20 minutes later have a nice fire. NO going back to the woods to cut trees, haul out, split, stack, move to the house and put into the basement, then load the furnace regularly. Mini-split heat pumps carry the big load. Newspapers can be an empty grocery bag (Opps, they are rarely paper anymore) or the local Pennysaver. Be CREATIVE

Yes to the damper. Easier way to warm the chimney and get the draft started on a cold chimney is to light a piece of newspaper and hold that up inside the chimney at about the smoke shelf level. Usually one piece does the trick, and you have a draft started.

What we have is a PROFIT CARE System, with ā€œhealthā€ care as the bait in the bait-and-switch

Boeing looked at the business case and said ā€œnopeā€. The Anglo-French consortium who did the design and build partnership (British Aerospace & Rolls Royce, and AĆ©rospatiale and SNECMA) [an airframe and an engine builder for both countries] took the project as much for national pride and to remain relevant in the industry. AĆ©rospatiale went on to be highly successful (with their commercial jets (A320, 321, 380 etc) and the engine builders are still thriving. British Aerospace is now BAE and I donā€™t think they still build airframes.

Since the whole strip is a re-run (and I enjoy it now, and did ā€˜thenā€™ too) it did not seem that M & R were the final couple. But SEEM was not certain, like knowing that Farley would rescue April. Good real life strip, so please, no spoilers.

Usually I average out my MRD, but in 2025, it is all coming out before January 20. Maybe Iā€™ll miss another run-up, but I wonā€™t miss a major meltdown.

I believe Parsons College in Iowa was one school that followed this model. They eventually went belly up due to better competition, as best I remember. check it out on wiki
