   I used to live in Northern New England not far from the Canadian border back in the 1980s. We could go back and forth into and out of Canada by stopping and just showing a drivers license. Prior to that half the factories in the Northeast were staffed with illegals from Canada. Foreign workers made the textile mills and the shoe factories that lined all the rivers successful. And yes, most of them just walked across the border. Immigration laws need to be fixed without question. But make no mistake, immigration is what made America great!
