You’re making a blanket statement – it depends on the Amish community. There are Amish that own computers and / or vehicles for their businesses in some communities; they just aren’t allowed into their home areas. The Amish have a process where they allow new technologies (like recently, Cell phones, or at one time, cars) into their communities and then gauge their impact on the community, especially family units. If they find it takes away from the community, they stop allowing it.
