I remember reading in the 35th Anniversary Book that Schulz told of how growing up in Minnesota his grandmother would be the goalie while he practiced hockey in his basement i believe. He said he liked to think his grandma made a lot of good saves.
When i was a kid and we would toast marshmellows my mother always wanted hers “burnt to a crisp”, i would literally toast them till they caught on fire.
..and the other one that I remember was when Sally was a baby and Charlie Brown, in conversation with someone, used the expression “throwing the baby out with the bath water” much to Sally’s shock…
