Woohoo! Zonker has been amusing me for 42 years since I bought my very first GTrudeau book “Call Me When You Find America” in 1974 during a book fair to have some reading material my freshman year of high school. I am an owner of a nearly complete set of GTrudeau Doonesbury comic books dating back to when the cost was $1.95 for a book of comics. I even have his Yale book of comics.
I have seen his comics for years and as a conservative it has been quite an enjoyment to see the characters grow up and have kids. Mike and BJ and Zonker and Mark living their satirical lives.
BTW: If anyone wishes to buy an entire set of Doonesbury dating back 42 years drop me a line. I got forty or fifty books across the Watergate/Nixon years clear through to the Clinton years. Make an offer.
