Personally, I liked Frank Rizzo. He made the evening news much more exciting. Of course, I don’t live in Philly, so his antics didn’t affect me. I hope you are right about Mayor Parker.
Everyone gets branded in high school whether they want it or not. The Mean Girl, The Bully, The Fatty, The Jock, The Nerd. Better to form your own brand than be given one by your peers.
I stopped watching TV years ago. It is mind numbing, negative, and depressing. Now I watch baseball, football, and CBS Sunday Morning for entertainment.
Prior to the internet, my husband set a paper note and followed up with a phone call if there was no response. After email was a thing, he still sent a note and followed up with an email. He liked the note because he wanted the kid to read it. He taught teens for 40 years.
Not quite as bad in the Poconos where Sunny is headed, but still in the high 80’s, low 90’s.
