This is what the Luann Facebook Page post for this strip states: “This strip is a mystery but wasn’t meant to be: the line Greg penned for Bernice was not “I’m not like the other girls” but “I don’t weigh enough,” referring to the fact that 110 lbs. is the minimum weight to donate blood. The change in wording can be credited to a freak mixup in the post-production process. Mystery (sort of) solved.”

    Guess I’m old, too.

Three of one of our biggest intersection’s corners in Conway, AR are drug stores: CVS, Walgreen’s, and Sav-On (independent, not affiliated with the Albertson’s Sav-On no matter WHAT GoodRx claims).

I noticed a couple weeks ago while looking for something at Walmart that they had disposable AND non-disposable film cameras, as well as the instant cameras.

The way I interpret “You talked to Luann about us?” along with that smile is that she really thought that Gunther was interested in Luann and why would a guy talk to the “other woman” about her if he were? Just about every move that Bets has made drips of insecurity, and I think she has herself convinced at this point that she has lost Gunther, or at least doesn’t deserve him. I also believe that Luann interprets it that way as well, or she would have come to Guther’s defense, not interjected with “Pretty much nonstop”.

I think it was right about 20 years ago that the whole Brad/Toni thing got started and her ex Dirk got into a bad accident, so maybe…?

On a side note, the hat bill is not colored properly in the last panel. It looks like more hair.

Greg is apparently on vacation. Strips this week are from the week of February 12th-February 17th, 2001.

I’m almost 99% sure this is a rerun from over 20 years ago. It may be some serious Deja Vu, but I think this is one I cut out of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in the late 90’s and tacked onto my door because I thought it was so funny.

Women absolutely run at the L-word, or even just the type of guys who are inclined to have such feelings or want commitment. Especially young women, who tend to view them as uninteresting. I was actually told by two different women in college that I was the type of guy they’d like to marry, but not the type of guy they wanted to date. It’s not like I didn’t like to have a good time either, but I’d show some serious interest, and it was over.
