The woman does have the right to do what she wishes to her own body, to a certain degree. However, she does not have the right to do what she wishes with the other person inside her. At the point of conception that person is not part of her body but has DNA specific to them. Now if someone can show that it is her DNA until birth then she does have the right to abort.

It might be a reference to the days where you would have to wind clocks to keep them running. Depending on the clock, when “wound” they would run for different amount of times. Some for one day, some for two, some for a week, and some longer.
It is still a one stroke penalty. If it was a 2 stroke penalty it would be 1, for the stroke you took, + 2, for the 2 stroke penalty = 3.
